British politician, broadcaster, and writer George Galloway has warned that rising tensions between the United States and Iran could escalate into a wider and potentially catastrophic conflict.
According to the report, Galloway made the remarks in a statement shared on his verified X account, where he expressed concern over recent rhetoric surrounding Iran and argued that the language used by world leaders has heightened fears of military escalation.
He warned that any confrontation involving major powers could lead to the use of nuclear weapons, with consequences extending far beyond the Middle East.
Galloway also referred to comments attributed to former U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Iran, describing the current crisis as a significant turning point. He questioned the decisions behind the renewed tensions and argued that political influences, including the role of Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, should be considered when assessing U.S. policy in the region.
The British political figure further highlighted developments in Lebanon, particularly southern Lebanon and its relationship with Israel, warning that continued instability could spread across neighbouring countries and deepen the regional crisis.
