Apostle Johnson Suleman, General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, has urged ministers to prioritize divine revelation alongside knowledge, saying the digital age has made information easily accessible and quickly verifiable.
Speaking during a sermon on divine intelligence in a video shared on Johnson Suleman TV on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, Suleman said preachers should not rely solely on intellectual knowledge, as audiences can instantly fact-check information.
To illustrate his point, he recalled preaching that the eagle flies higher and farther than any other bird. After the service, a 17-year-old listener respectfully informed him that the griffon vulture, not the eagle, holds that distinction.
Suleman said he verified the claim, discovered the teenager was correct, and thanked him for the correction, emphasizing that accurate information should be acknowledged regardless of a person’s age or status.
He said the experience reinforced the importance of humility and continuous learning but maintained that knowledge alone cannot replace divine insight. Suleman encouraged ministers to deepen their relationship with God, stressing that effective ministry should be guided by spiritual revelation as well as human understanding.
