Former Oyo State First Lady, Dr. Florence Ajimobi, has arrived in Vienna to assume her duties as Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Republic of Austria and Permanent Representative to the international organisations based in the Austrian capital.

Ajimobi shared photographs of her arrival on her official Instagram page on Friday, July 3, 2026, marking the start of her diplomatic assignment following her appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

She is expected to represent Nigeria’s interests, strengthen bilateral relations with Austria and engage with key international organisations headquartered in Vienna.

Her appointment has drawn congratulatory messages from political leaders, associates and supporters, who expressed confidence in her ability to serve Nigeria in her new role, citing her experience in public service and leadership.
