Pa Adetunji Ajayi Adeniyi, father of Prince Mathew Adebayo Adeniyi, the self-acclaimed Director-General of the controversial Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), has alleged that security operatives carried out two separate raids on his residence in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, while searching for his son.
According to Nigerian Tribune, Pa Adeniyi said the first operation occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, when officers allegedly entered the compound by climbing over the perimeter fence, damaging the barbed wire and forcing open the main gate before searching the property.
He said officers returned on Monday at about 11:30 a.m., questioned him about his son’s whereabouts and took him to the Sunsun Divisional Police Headquarters for interrogation.
“They came back yesterday at about 11:30am. They whisked me away and returned me at about 5pm,” he said.
Pa Adeniyi said he cooperated with investigators and was released after several hours of questioning. He added that the repeated operations had caused distress to his family, expressing concern over the manner in which the searches were conducted.
