Oyo Abduction: Teacher Recounts 56-Day Ordeal
A teacher abducted during the attack on a school in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State has described how he and other captives regained their freedom after 56 days in captivity.
Speaking on Nigeria Info’s Morning Crossfire, Mr. Olatunde Olutuye Zacchaeus said he was the last victim captured and released. He recalled that the attack began with motorcycles and gunfire before students shouted warnings of “bandits.” Zacchaeus said arthritis in his left leg prevented him from escaping, forcing him to hide before he was eventually captured. His account has also sparked public debate over whether ransom was paid and whether security operatives exchanged gunfire with the kidnappers.
Trump Criticises Tuchel’s World Cup Tactics
US President Donald Trump has questioned England manager Thomas Tuchel’s tactical approach in the World Cup semi-final defeat to Argentina.
