A political science expert named Obaseki George brought up the fact that President Bola Tinubu was one of the NADECO members who pushed for democracy after the annulment of the June 12, 1993 election.
As part of his protest against military rule, Tinubu poured sand on the Third Mainland Bridge, which George mentioned in an interview with Channels Television.
George went on to say that Tinubu risked the lives of himself, his wife, and their children by funding the democracy movement with his own money.
“They don’t know about Comrade Bola Tinubu, who went to the Third Mainland Bridge to dump sand on it, causing traffic problems, so that people would confront the military regime,” George claims. There has never been a Bola Tinubu like him who dared to oppose the military with his own money, putting his family’s lives in jeopardy.
