Popular Nigerian content creator Jarvis has shared details of her search for her father, revealing that she travelled to Senegal in an attempt to reunite with him but discovered he had reportedly moved to France.
Speaking in a recent interview, as reported by TheCable on July 21, 2026, Jarvis said she had remained hopeful of reconnecting with her father despite years of separation. She explained that her determination led her to Senegal, where she believed he was living.
“My dad is from Senegal. I went there one time, I couldn’t find him. I was told he went to France,” she said, describing the experience as one of the most emotional moments of her life.
Jarvis, whose real name is Aminata, said her father was one of the few people who consistently called her by that name, adding that hearing him say “Aminata” remains one of her most cherished childhood memories.
Although she did not explain the circumstances surrounding their separation, Jarvis said she still hopes to reunite with her father. She added that learning he had reportedly relocated to France left her disappointed, as her search had reached another dead end.
