Royalty E. Uso, Special Assistant on News Media to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has said Atiku is intensifying political opposition to President Bola Tinubu’s administration both within Nigeria and internationally.
In a post on his X account on Thursday, July 23, 2026, Uso described Atiku as the country’s strongest opposition figure and urged other opposition politicians to move beyond social media campaigns and embrace coordinated political action.
According to Uso, Atiku has taken the challenge directly to the ruling administration. “H.E. Atiku Abubakar is bringing the fight to Bola Tinubu’s doorstep both in Nigeria and abroad,” he wrote.
Uso also criticised what he described as the approach of some opposition figures, arguing that political engagement should extend beyond “Twitter slogans and pictures.”
He maintained that Nigeria needs a change in leadership and expressed confidence that Atiku is best positioned to lead the country.
“Nigeria is not OK with Bola, and only one man can fix this. And his name is Atiku Abubakar,” Uso stated.
