Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has recounted fresh details of the 2021 raid on his Ibadan residence by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), describing the incident as a traumatic experience.
According to Punch Newspapers, Igboho alleged that armed DSS operatives arrived at his residence, repeatedly demanded that the gate be opened, and created panic among those inside as they attempted to gain entry.
He further claimed that the operatives pointed a gun at the head of his personal assistant, identified as Dudu, while trying to force their way into the house.
“When they entered and were screaming that I opened the door, they pointed a gun at Dudu (my personal assistant)’s head. And he kept begging me not to shoot while knocking on the door,” Igboho said.
The activist said the events of that night have remained vivid in his memory, adding that the raid left a lasting impression because of the fear and uncertainty experienced by everyone inside the residence. The DSS has not publicly responded to these latest allegations.
