Primate Elijah Ayodele, Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has claimed that President Bola Tinubu will face strong opposition ahead of the 2027 general election from forces determined to prevent his re-election.
Speaking during a prophetic message on Nigeria’s political future, Ayodele alleged that the President would encounter significant political challenges as the country moves closer to the next election.
“The forces that will fight him, they are ready to remove him out of office,” the cleric said.
Ayodele claimed that political, economic and other interests would unite against Tinubu’s second-term ambition. However, he did not identify the groups he referred to or provide evidence to support the assertion, presenting it as part of his prophetic declaration.
He urged the President to remain prayerful and exercise caution in his political decisions, warning that the period leading to the 2027 election would be marked by heightened political tension.
The cleric also called on political leaders across party lines to prioritise national unity and peaceful conduct, stressing that Nigeria’s democracy should not be undermined by violence or divisive politics. He further urged Nigerians to pray for peace and stability as political activities intensify.
Ayodele, who frequently comments on political developments through prophetic messages, said his remarks reflected his religious views. His claims have not been independently verified.
President Tinubu has consistently maintained that his administration is focused on economic reforms, infrastructure development and improving security. He has not publicly responded to Ayodele’s latest comments.
