Businessman, Isaac Fayose has publicly condemned his older brother and former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, over controversial claims that the recent abduction of 46 pupils and teachers in Oyo State was a political plot orchestrated by the state government to blackmail President Bola Tinubu.
The former governor made the allegations during a live appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today. He questioned the Oyo State Government’s handling of the crisis, arguing that state governors receive security votes and should take primary responsibility for local security instead of immediately shifting blame to the federal government.
Hitting back, Isaac Fayose took to social media, releasing a viral video to express his deep disappointment in his brother’s remarks. He challenged the former governor’s logic, questioning why he failed to make similar assumptions about widespread kidnappings occurring in All Progressives Congress (APC)-led states such as Borno, Niger, and Kwara.
Isaac explicitly faulted his brother’s stance, noting that abductions have recently occurred even within their home state of Ekiti. He bluntly concluded that if his older brother lacks constructive contributions on the escalating insecurity, he should remain silent.
