Jonathon Cooper, a standout linebacker for the Denver Broncos, is behind bars in a Colorado jail after being arrested Thursday night at approximately 11 PM, TMZ Sports has learned. It remains unclear what led up to the arrest, but the sixth-year pro is being held on two counts of domestic violence, as well as criminal mischief.
The 28-year-old was booked into a detention facility at 2:38 AM. Cooper is scheduled to appear before a judge on Friday morning, with another hearing set for Monday, June 8.

Cooper was a seventh-round draft pick out of Ohio State in 2021 and has proven to be a valuable selection for the Broncos. Last season, he was a major component of Denver’s dominant defense, recording eight sacks and 50 combined tackles across 17 games.
