Actor and comedian Chris Tucker has revealed that he has been celibate for more than three years and is waiting until marriage before becoming intimate again.
The Rush Hour star made the disclosure during a comedy performance at The Wynn in Las Vegas on Friday, according to attendees at the show. Speaking about his personal life, Tucker reportedly told the audience: “Well, I’m celibate. I’ve been celibate for 3 years, but I’m really trying to get married. I give it to the love this time.”
He added: “I’m serious. No one believes me.” Tucker said even members of his own family have struggled to believe his decision, jokingly referencing his niece. “She believes in aliens, but she don’t believe I did that.”
The comedian also shared humorous stories about reactions he has received from women after telling them about his celibacy. “She said, ‘How much? How much … how much is it?’ I’m not selling it. I’m celibate! What is wrong with you people?”
According to attendees, Tucker drew some of the loudest laughs of the night when he joked about flirting with voice assistants Siri and Alexa because he had become lonely.
