Omega Power Ministry (OPM) founder Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere has alleged that armed police officers and health officials inspected one of the church’s free specialist hospitals following a petition he believes was submitted by fellow pastors.
In a post shared on his X account on Friday, Chinyere claimed three white buses carrying armed police officers and senior health workers arrived at the hospital to conduct an inspection.
“Do you know some persons sent petition against OPM Free Specialist Hospital? And someone told me it was sent by some pastors,” he wrote.
According to the cleric, hospital management granted the officials full access to inspect the facility. He said the team also verified the credentials of the hospital’s doctors and nurses and interviewed staff members.
“After interviewing them and going through their credentials, nothing wrong was found. Then they drove away,” Chinyere stated.
He added that OPM’s two free specialist hospitals are funded entirely through tithes and offerings from church members. The claim has generated mixed reactions online, with some praising the church’s healthcare initiatives and others calling for routine regulatory oversight of medical facilities.
