Dele Momodu Reacts as Ghanaian President Was Spotted in a Plane Assessing Areas Affected by Flood

Dele Momodu, founder of Ovation Magazine and a chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has praised Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama after a video showed him conducting an aerial assessment of flood-affected areas in Accra.

In a post on his official X account on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, Momodu reacted to the footage, which showed Mahama and members of his team surveying communities impacted by heavy flooding from an aircraft.

The video emerged after torrential rainfall caused flooding in parts of Ghana’s capital, prompting the president to assess the extent of the damage.

Commenting on the development, Momodu described Mahama’s response as an example of leadership.

“What an uncommon African leader. President Mahama conducts an aerial assessment of flood-hit areas in Accra following today’s heavy downpour,” he wrote on X.
