Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has stirred fresh reactions following a viral video in which he addressed Nigeria’s ongoing insecurity crisis, particularly the issue of banditry in the northern region.
Speaking in Yoruba during a Facebook broadcast, Sowore defended controversial Islamic cleric Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, stating that the cleric’s approach to engaging bandits should not be dismissed outright.
Sowore said, “Sheikh Gumi is not a fool; he knows what he is saying. He once said the only way to get rid of the bandits by, Tap to expand.
