Popular social critic, Justice Chidiebere aka Justice Crack, appeared before the Federal High Court in Abuja this morning, May13 for his bail hearing. A video shared online showed the moment his colleague, RandyPeter, presented his 11 months old baby to him to hold as he hasn;t seen his son since his arrest on April 26.
Recall that he was arrested by the Nigerian Army on April 26. In an official statement released, the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Appolonia Anele, clarified the reasons behind his detention. According to the military, Justice Crack’s recent social media activity which highlighted soldiers’ grievances regarding feeding and welfare went beyond simple advocacy.
The Army alleges that a deeper investigation revealed his interactions were intended to incite discontent and rebellion within the ranks.
