A Kenyan musician identified as Boyninja has been arrested after a female student who had earlier been declared missing was found in a hotel room with him.
The student’s disappearance had sparked concern among family members and prompted a search after she was reported missing.
According to Mt Kenya Daily, Law enforcement officers, acting on information gathered during investigations, later traced her to a hotel, where she was discovered in the company of the musician during an operation.
Police subsequently took the musician into custody as investigations into the circumstances surrounding the student’s disappearance continue.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the nature of the relationship between the pair or whether any criminal offences beyond the ongoing investigation have been established.
The student was safely recovered and is receiving appropriate care while investigators gather statements and review evidence related to the case.
It was also gathered that the female student had previously been reported missing, prompting concerns among family members and the wider community. The subsequent operation led authorities to the location where she was found.
