The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released an updated list of 124 Nigerian nationals identified for deportation as part of President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement policy targeting undocumented immigrants with criminal records.
According to Daily Post, the list was published on the DHS website, with the department describing those named as among the “worst of the worst” individuals arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). DHS said the operation is part of the administration’s mass deportation programme, prioritising undocumented immigrants with serious criminal backgrounds.
In a statement, the department said, “Under DHS leadership, the hardworking men and women of DHS and ICE are fulfilling President Trump’s promise and carrying out mass deportations starting with the worst of the worst.”
The action forms part of broader immigration measures introduced after Trump returned to office on January 20, 2025. DHS said the initiative reflects the administration’s focus on national security and public safety through targeted immigration enforcement.
The department advised that the full list of affected individuals, along with details of the allegations or convictions associated with each case, is available on its official website.
