Journalist and Arise News broadcaster Rufai Oseni has welcomed the rescue of the schoolchildren and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State while raising questions about two victims reportedly killed during their captivity.
Speaking in a video posted by Arise News, Oseni congratulated the families of the rescued victims following the successful joint security operation that secured their release.
He, however, questioned the whereabouts of the bodies of a man who was reportedly beheaded and a deacon who was said to have died while in captivity.
“I’d like to ask, where is the body of the man that was beheaded, and also where is the body of the deacon that she said died on the first Sunday of June? So where are those bodies?” Oseni said.
His remarks came as discussions continue over the circumstances surrounding the abduction and rescue operation in Oyo State. The questions he raised have not been publicly addressed by the relevant authorities.
