Each Day I Wake Up, I Tell My Wife, Continue To Pray That Tinubu Will Not Look Away From Us – Wike

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike has said he regularly asks his wife to pray that President Bola Tinubu will continue supporting the FCT Administration to enable it deliver more development projects.

Speaking during the commissioning of the Water Supply Network in Bwari Satellite Town in a video shared by TVC News, Wike said his wife prays more often than he does, while his own daily prayer is to return home safely.

“Each day I wake up, I tell my wife, she prays a lot, I don’t know how to pray very well, the best prayer I can pray is God let me come back safely today. But she prays very well, I say continue to pray that Mr President will not look away from us,” Wike said.

The minister said the Tinubu administration is expanding infrastructure beyond road construction, highlighting improvements in water supply across the FCT. He noted that roads in Ushafa and Bwari have been completed, while the Bwari–Kubwa Road is expected to be commissioned soon.

Wike said the large turnout of residents at the event reflected public satisfaction with the projects being delivered, adding that the primary responsibility of government is to improve the lives of citizens.

He also stated that no minister can perform effectively without the support of the President, crediting Tinubu for providing the backing that has enabled the FCT Administration to execute development projects across the territory.
