The Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, says he has received a death threat allegedly sent by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
According to Daily Post, Dachomo disclosed the development on Friday, July 17, 2026, following fresh attacks in parts of Plateau State. He said the letter, written in both English and Hausa, threatened his life and those of members of his family. Copies of the message, he added, have been forwarded to security agencies for investigation and appropriate action.
Dachomo further alleged that the authors of the letter claimed responsibility for the deaths of some of his relatives in previous attacks and warned that they intended to target him and his household.
Expressing concern over the continued insecurity in Plateau State, the cleric called for stronger measures to protect residents and prevent further violence. Despite the alleged threats, he said he remains undeterred and will continue carrying out his responsibilities.
“A few days ago, Fulani herdsmen sent a threatening letter to me. They vowed to kill me soon. The letter was written in both Hausa and English, and its message was terrifying,” Dachomo said.
