Veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) has revealed how his wife reacted after he instructed that the largest cheque he has received in his career, worth N100 million, be handed over to her.
Speaking during an interview on the Morayo Afolabi-Brown Podcast on Monday, August 3, 2026, the actor recalled that his manager collected the cheque after his staff had left, and he immediately directed that it be given to his wife.
Recounting the conversation, RMD said: “The biggest cheque I have ever had in my life, N100 million. When it was presented to me, my staff had gone, my manager had gone to pick up the cheque and I said, ‘Give it to my wife.’ When she got it, she said, ‘Do you want me to keep it for your children?’ I said no, keep it for yourself. She said, ‘What do you want me to do with it?’ I said, ‘Do whatever you want to do with it.’”
According to the actor, the exchange reflected the trust and understanding in their marriage, as he chose not to dictate how the money should be spent or invested, leaving the decision entirely to his wife.
