Israeli televangelist Benny Hinn has urged Christians to view Israel through the lens of Scripture rather than contemporary politics, saying the nation’s greatest significance lies in its connection to Jesus Christ.
Speaking during a recent sermon posted on YouTube, Hinn said public discussions about Israel have become increasingly dominated by political debates, causing many people to overlook its biblical importance.

He told believers to focus on Christ when reading the Bible, arguing that doing so transforms their understanding of both Scripture and Israel.
“I think people see Israel today through the political side of things. No, no. Look at the Bible. See the Lord. Forget the politics,” Hinn said, adding, “It’s the Holy Land. It’s His land.”
Hinn also reflected on Israel’s biblical history, saying only God truly knows the descendants of the ancient tribes of Israel despite ongoing debates over Jewish ancestry and identity. He referenced former Israeli foreign minister Abba Eban, saying even he acknowledged that only God ultimately knows who belongs to the original tribes.
He concluded that true spiritual transformation comes from knowing God rather than simply acquiring religious knowledge.
