Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has questioned why bandits who record and share videos of their activities on social media have not been identified or arrested.
Speaking in a recent interview aired by FeelRightNews TV on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, Kosoko expressed concern over what he described as the inability of security agencies and the public to recognize suspects who openly post such content online.
“Bandits record themselves and post videos on social media. Why has no one been able to recognize them and say, ‘I know this person’?” he asked.
Kosoko also addressed longstanding allegations surrounding the death of his late wife, rejecting claims that he was involved in ritual practices.
“I didn’t use my wife for ritual. Those accusing me should use their wives too. They are unfortunate and useless people,” he said.
Reflecting on the Nigerian film industry, the veteran actor credited actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele with pioneering a new approach to cinema marketing.
“Funke Akindele was the first to use her initiative to market her movie in cinema. Other actors copied her later,” he said.
Kosoko also spoke about his personal life, revealing that he had not intended to marry a second wife. He said “excessive desire” influenced his decision but added that she has turned out to be a good wife.
During the interview, the actor discussed security concerns, responded to allegations about his personal life, and shared his views on developments in Nollywood and his family life.
