Abdullahi Tanko Yakasai, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Community Relations in the North-West, says the Federal Government undertook several reconstruction and support projects in Tudun Biri, Kaduna State, following the military drone strike that claimed many lives.
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, Yakasai said the government rebuilt the mosque damaged in the incident, constructed a school, provided healthcare facilities and also built a church in the community.
According to him, the church was built in recognition of the solidarity shown by Christian residents, who helped rescue Muslims trapped inside the mosque after the strike.
“Even the mosque that was burnt where people were inside that the strike hit them has been reconstructed. They even built a church because the Christians were the ones going into those mosques to rescue people because it is a community that is both Muslims and Christians,” Yakasai said.
He added that the interventions were intended to support the community’s recovery while promoting unity and peaceful coexistence between its Muslim and Christian residents.
