Community Leader Praises Nigerian Troops for Sacrifices in Fight Against Insecurity

A community leader in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Aliyu Makama, has commended the Nigerian Armed Forces for their efforts in combating terrorism, banditry, and crude oil theft across the country.

According to a Leadership report published on Monday, June 29, 2026, Makama made the remarks during a Peace and Development Rally organised by the Centre for Security and Economic Development (CSED). The event brought together community members, youth groups, and other stakeholders to show support for security personnel.

Makama said Nigerian troops continue to make significant sacrifices despite the country’s security challenges, noting that they are protecting lives, critical national infrastructure, and oil facilities while confronting terrorists and bandits.

“Our troops are making enormous sacrifices to keep Nigerians safe. While they are fighting terrorists and bandits in different parts of the country, they are also protecting oil installations and combating crude oil theft in the Niger Delta,” he said.

He urged Nigerians to appreciate and support the military’s efforts in safeguarding the nation’s security and strategic assets.
