Public affairs analyst Liborous Oshoma has questioned the Federal Government’s handling of an alleged fraudulent office, arguing that authorities should have acted immediately if they knew it lacked legal backing.
Speaking during an interview on News Central, Oshoma challenged the explanation that the office was fraudulent, asking, “If the SGF knew this office was fraudulent, why wasn’t it shut down immediately?”
He said the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) should have taken swift administrative action once it became aware of any irregularities. According to Oshoma, allowing the office to continue operating before later declaring it fraudulent raises questions about government oversight and accountability.
Oshoma also questioned how the office reportedly interacted with several government agencies if concerns about its legitimacy already existed, calling for a comprehensive review of the actions of the institutions involved.
He urged public officials to disclose when they first became aware of the alleged irregularities and the steps taken in response, insisting that a transparent investigation is necessary to establish the facts, restore public confidence and reinforce accountability within government institutions.
