Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has urged his supporters to align with his current political direction, saying he has returned to his political family and remains committed to the peace agreement reached in the state.
Speaking at a public event in a video shared by SYMFONI TV, Fubara said peace had been restored in Rivers State and declared his support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid. He also endorsed Kingsley “OK” Chinda for the governorship election and called on his supporters to back all candidates of what he described as the Rainbow Coalition.
Addressing supporters who believed they should wait for political benefits before joining him, Fubara said there was “nothing to collect” because he had already rejoined his political family.
“For those of you who are saying, ‘Fubara, let’s stay, we want to collect something before we run.’ There’s nothing to collect. I am already in the family, I’ve gone back to the family,” he said.
The governor also urged his supporters to avoid actions capable of creating division, warning against using his name to promote disunity in the state.
