The National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, Tanko Yunusa, has said officials serving under Peter Obi would be expected to work tirelessly if the former Anambra State governor is elected Nigeria’s president in 2027.
Speaking during an interview with Arise TV, Yunusa said Obi had pledged to serve only one four-year term if elected and would focus on transforming Nigeria through economic growth and increased productivity.
“Because they will be busy working every day and night, I feel sorry for those individuals who will serve under Mr. Peter Obi as president. I can tell you there will be no rest for them,” Yunusa said.
He added that Obi’s proposed single-term administration would be dedicated to rebuilding the country’s economy and making Nigeria a more productive nation, expressing confidence that the former Labour Party presidential candidate would use the four-year mandate to deliver on his campaign promises.
