Nollywood actress Biola Fowosere has opened up about the emotional and mental health challenges she faced after her former husband allegedly abandoned her and their children without explanation.
According to a Nigerian Tribune report published on Sunday, July 19, 2026, Fowosere became emotional while speaking during an interview on African A-List, describing the separation as one of the most painful experiences of her life.
She said the unexpected departure triggered a prolonged battle with depression, resulting in a hospital stay of one year and six months as she underwent treatment and recovered from the emotional trauma.
Fowosere also alleged that neither she nor her children have had any contact with her former husband since he left, claiming he blocked them all seven years ago.
“I spent one year and six months in the hospital battling depression after he left. I almost ran mad. We are not in contact. Since he left, we haven’t seen him. He blocked us seven years ago,” she said.
Her remarks reflect her personal account of the events and the impact they had on her mental health.
