Ekene Obodoechie, an indigene of Orsu-Ihiteukwa in Imo State, has alleged that his brother and sister were killed by fighters linked to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Speaking in an interview with News Central TV, Obodoechie said his elder brother was killed in 2021 and claimed that his attackers mutilated his body by cutting off his private part.
He also alleged that his elder sister was later killed by a bomb while walking along a road in the community.
“In 2021 my elder brother was killed. He is the first man to be killed in Orsu, that is the man whose private part was cut off. Also my elder sister was killed by a bomb while she was walking on the road. I wonder how an Igbo man can kill his fellow Igbo man all in the name of Biafra,” Obodoechie said.
The allegations were made during the interview and have not been independently verified. There was no immediate response from the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) regarding the claims.:::
