Isaac’s Death Is Painful; He Returned From NDA Training and Was Told at 3 p.m. to Lead Oyo Rescue Operation — Father

Mr. Isaac Alabura, a retired Master Warrant Officer, has described the death of his son, Lt. Felix Ademe Isaac, during a rescue operation in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State as deeply painful.

According to Daily Trust, Alabura said Lt. Isaac had just returned from training at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Jaji, Kaduna State, and was preparing to report to Sokoto for another assignment when he received new orders.

“He had just returned from training at the Nigerian Defence Academy in Jaji, Kaduna, and was preparing to report to Sokoto for another assignment. Around 3:00 p.m., he was instead directed to lead the rescue operation in Oyo,” Alabura said.

Lt. Isaac later died during the operation to rescue abducted teachers and schoolchildren in Oriire LGA.

Alabura appealed to the Nigerian Army and the Oyo State Government to support his family, saying his son made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation and that his death has left the family in deep pain.
