Human rights activist and African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain Aisha Yesufu has sparked reactions on social media after paying tribute to her husband, Aliu Osigwe Yesufu, for his professional achievements and support throughout their marriage.
In a post on her social media page, Yesufu affectionately described her husband as her “odogwu parara,” “always available extra ATM,” and the “Iroko tree” behind her success. She also called him her “amebo partner” and “one and only customer.”
Highlighting his career, she revealed that Aliu Yesufu has been a chartered accountant since 1986, is an Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) prize winner, and has more than four decades of experience. She also described him as an accomplished tax consultant.
The post quickly attracted mixed reactions online. While many users praised Yesufu for publicly celebrating her husband and acknowledging his support, others responded humorously to her playful descriptions, particularly her references to him as her “extra ATM” and “only customer.”
The tribute has continued to generate discussion on social media, with many commending the couple’s relationship and congratulating Aliu Yesufu on his long professional career.
