My best friend of the past ten years wants me to impregnate her. She’s thirty-six and, according to her, she’s running out of time and relationships hardly work out for her. So she would rather get pregnant by a man and raise the child on her own without ever mentioning it to anyone.
She told me this a year ago and I thought she was joking until, while I was in her apartment, she brought the topic up again and said, “I want you to do it for me. I’ve known you all this while and you’re the best person to help. And no, it’s not a joke.”
She has a great job and owns a beautiful car and apartment. From all indications, she can take care of a child without any trouble. She says she doesn’t mind even if we sign a contract to that effect. She would get pregnant and never mention it to anyone and would never get in my way in any way. All she wants is the child and then for me to leave the scene.
She’s a good person. I believe she deserves the best kind of love from someone who will stay with her forever. She wants a family and I believe that family should come from a man who will stay. She calls every day and our conversations often turn into, “So when should I get ready for you?” Or she would call and say, “I’m ovulating. Don’t make me waste my ovulation.”
The last time she told me, “It looks like I’m harassing you so I’m not going to talk about it again but whenever you’re ready, I will be ready too.”
I Called My Girlfriend And Another Man Answered The Phone
So for a while, she hasn’t said anything but I see it in her eyes. I see it in the way she behaves around me. She wants it that badly but I’m also thinking about the future. What if…That’s my fear now.
I would give her everything to make her happy but do you think this is something safe to give her? Yes, she’s very attractive but I’ve never thought of her in that way. That’s why it’s hard. It’s also hard because I feel the future is too uncertain for such a decision.
What do you think?
