Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has stated that he is not an ingrate, while expressing strong confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will complete his constitutionally allowed eight years in office, as reported by DAILY POST on Sunday June 28 2026.
Igboho made the remarks during a visit to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Network in Accra, Ghana, where he addressed supporters and party loyalists on Nigeria’s political leadership and democratic stability.
During his remarks, the Yoruba Nation agitator emphasized that political leaders in Nigeria who have had the opportunity to govern at the federal level have traditionally been allowed to complete two terms in office, except in rare circumstances.
He referenced past administrations, noting that former President Olusegun Obasanjo served for eight years, former President Muhammadu Buhari also completed eight years, while former President Goodluck Jonathan spent about six years in office before leaving power.
According to him, President Tinubu should not be treated differently, insisting that it is only fair for him to complete his tenure if the established political pattern is followed.
In his words,
“May we never be ingrates in our lives. Obasanjo spent 8 years, Buhari spent 8 years, even Jonathan spent about 6 years too. Tinubu will complete his 8 years by God’s grace, nothing will stop him.”
