
The Zamfara State Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with alleged violent crimes and acts of public disorder in Gusau, the state capital.
According to the sources, the suspect was apprehended as part of ongoing efforts to tackle youth violence, criminal activities and threats to public safety within the state capital and its environs.
The police alleged that the suspect had been linked to a number of incidents under investigation, including cases of public disturbance and other criminal activities.
The sources said the suspect is currently in police custody and is assisting investigators with ongoing inquiries.
They added that the case had been transferred to relevant investigative units for further action, while efforts were being made to determine the extent of the suspect’s alleged involvement in the reported incidents.
The police reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order and urged residents to continue providing credible information to support crime-fighting efforts.
The Command noted that investigations were ongoing and that the suspect remains presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction.
