Police in Delta State are investigating claims that officers chased a student to his death in Ogwashi-Uku.
Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu shared the story online. He said police officers and a civilian hunter chased the student through a dangerous area.
Gwamnishu explained that the student did not see an open, water-filled well and fell inside. The hunter chasing him also fell into the same well. Both men died before they could be rescued.
The Police Complaint Unit confirmed that an investigation has started.
