Rapper Chrisean Rock denies involvement in ex-boyfriend Ronny Doe’s murd3r

Reality TV personality and rapper Chrisean Rock has denied any involvement in the 2025 killing of her former boyfriend, Karon “Ronny Doe” Cann, claiming police have ruled her out as a suspect.

Speaking during a livestream, Chrisean said investigators had already informed her that she was not responsible for Cann’s death. “We know you didn’t do it, we got his phone,” she claimed police told her. According to Chrisean, detectives interviewed her on camera and recorded her statement. She said she welcomed the investigation because she also wants to know who was responsible for Cann’s death.

The rapper alleged that other issues surrounding Cann’s lifestyle had nothing to do with her, claiming he was using multiple substances at the time. She also claimed that those around him failed to intervene before his death. “Nobody was trying to save Karon before he died,” she said.

Chrisean further alleged that drugs were being trafficked through Cann’s basement, although she did not provide evidence to support the claim. Addressing online criticism following his death, she criticised social media users for discussing her late ex while ignoring how the situation had affected her.

She added that she felt little sympathy because, according to her, Cann had been trying to damage her reputation, tarnish her public image and gain attention through her son. Cann was shot and killed in February 2025 after he was found with multiple gunshot wounds outside a residence in Severn, Maryland. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said earlier this week that the homicide investigation remains open and active. However, more than a year after the incident, authorities have not publicly identified a suspect or person of interest. A spokesperson for the police department declined to confirm or deny whether investigators are seeking to speak with Chrisean as part of the ongoing investigation.
