Prince Abubakar Audu University has sparked reactions on social media after an examination question referencing First Lady Senator Remi Tinubu’s remarks on small-scale businesses surfaced online.
According to a report shared by Punch on its official X account on Saturday, July 4, 2026, the question asked students to prepare an advocacy advertising copy titled “Beyond Akara and Kuli-Kuli Empowerment”.
The examination required students, acting as advertising copywriters, to identify four factors to consider when writing the copy while encouraging Nigerian women and youths to embrace small-scale businesses.
The question was based on Remi Tinubu’s recent comments in which she cited akara and kuli-kuli businesses as examples of ventures people could start.
Images of the examination paper circulated online, prompting mixed reactions from social media users. While some questioned the choice of case study, others argued that using current public issues in examinations is a legitimate teaching approach.
The university had not publicly commented on the reactions at the time of reporting.
