“Roasting Oprah would be like spray-painting the Sistine Chapel” — Kevin Hart says she should never be roasted

Comedian and actor Kevin Hart has revealed the one person he believes should never be the subject of a celebrity roast, and that person is Oprah Winfrey.

Speaking during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Hart said he would strongly oppose any attempt to roast Oprah, comparing the idea to “spray-painting the Sistine Chapel.”

According to him, if Oprah ever agreed to be roasted, he would rush to stop it from happening, insisting that some people are simply off-limits.

Hart made the comment while discussing possible candidates for future celebrity roasts following Netflix’s The Roast of Kevin Hart, where he spent three hours being the target of jokes from fellow comedians and friends.

The comedian also admitted that one joke during his own roast caught him off guard. He recalled being surprised when longtime friend Dwayne Johnson displayed an old mugshot of his late father while comparing their dads during his set.

Despite that moment, Hart said he was not personally hurt by any of the jokes and described celebrity roasts as a necessary part of comedy, adding that delivering a successful roast requires a unique comedic skill.
