Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has retained his place among the world’s most valuable footballers despite Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to a Daily Post report published on Thursday, July 23, 2026, the Galatasaray forward maintained a market valuation of €75 million in the latest Transfermarkt update following another impressive season.
Osimhen has scored 59 goals and provided 16 assists in 74 appearances for the Turkish champions, cementing his status as one of Europe’s leading strikers.
The 27-year-old missed the World Cup after Nigeria was eliminated by the Democratic Republic of Congo in the African playoffs. Osimhen sustained an injury in the first half of the playoff before DR Congo secured qualification via a penalty shootout.
His €75 million valuation places him among the world’s 55 most valuable players and makes him the only footballer currently playing in the Turkish Süper Lig on the list. Osimhen’s valuation remained unchanged alongside Real Madrid midfielder Arda Güler and Juventus forward Kenan Yıldız.
Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal tops the latest rankings at €220 million, followed by Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappé, Michael Olise and Jude Bellingham.
