The father of Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, the self-acclaimed Director-General of the controversial Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), has alleged that security operatives damaged his property while searching for his son.
According to Punch, Adetunji Adeniyi said the operatives raided his residence in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, before taking him in for questioning over his son’s whereabouts.
Speaking to BBC Yoruba, he described his son as calm, respectful and well-behaved, insisting the allegations against him do not reflect the character of the man he raised.
“They jumped into my compound through the fence. They spoilt the barbed wire and started banging on the door. I asked who was at the door, and they identified themselves as government security personnel. They barged inside and started scattering everywhere, searching everywhere,” he said.
Adetunji alleged that officers searched the entire residence before taking him away for questioning, adding that he cooperated fully with the investigation. He said the incident has caused significant emotional distress and hardship for his family, maintaining that he remains shocked by the allegations against his son and hopes the circumstances surrounding the case will become clearer.
