The father of the late Lt. Felix Ademe Isaac, Mr. Isaac Alabura, has paid tribute to his son, describing him as a dedicated Nigerian Army officer whose dream of serving the country was cut short in the line of duty.
According to Daily Trust, Lt. Isaac, 28, was killed on July 10, 2026, while leading troops during the operation that successfully rescued abducted teachers and pupils in Oyo State.
Alabura said the family had always believed his son would build a distinguished military career, rise through the ranks and make a lasting contribution to Nigeria’s security.
“When he decided to join the Nigerian Army, we all believed he would rise through the ranks and contribute to improving the country’s security. Sadly, that dream has been cut short,” he said.
The grieving father described his son as disciplined, courageous and committed to protecting the nation, adding that he remained devoted to his duty until his final moments. Lt. Isaac died during the rescue mission, which resulted in the safe release of the abducted teachers and pupils.
