Several reactions have emerged following a comment made by All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Senator Shehu Sani, after Keir Starmer’s resignation as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Sani made the remarks in a post shared on his official X handle on Monday, June 22, 2026, where he addressed Nigerians considering relocating to the UK.

In the post, he suggested that those planning to “japa” to the UK should continue to support the Labour Party, referencing Kemi Badenoch’s position in the Conservative Party.

“If you are a Nigerian who wants to ‘japa’ to UK, continue to support and pray for the Labour Party. You know there is one angry tigress waiting for you in the other party. Good bye Keir Starmer,” Sani wrote.

His comment sparked mixed reactions online, with social media users sharing different opinions about his remarks and the reference to Kemi Badenoch.
