Yinusa Tanko, Global Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, says a joint presidential ticket involving Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso will be on the ballot for the 2027 general election.
Speaking at a press conference in a video shared by Symfoni TV on Monday, June 29, 2026, Tanko expressed confidence in the movement’s political direction despite ongoing legal and political developments.
“The joint ticket of Obi and Kwankwaso will be on the ballot,” he said, urging supporters not to be discouraged by recent controversies.
Tanko said the movement would continue pursuing its political objectives through peaceful campaigns, constitutional means and sustained engagement with voters. He added that political success depends on organisation, unity and nationwide grassroots mobilisation.
He also called on political stakeholders to uphold democratic principles by ensuring equal opportunities for all parties seeking public office, arguing that healthy political competition promotes accountability and gives voters meaningful choices.
Tanko concluded by urging Nigerians to remain peaceful, participate responsibly in the electoral process and support free, fair and credible elections.
