Former Minister of Youth and Sports Development Solomon Dalung has called for the suspension of Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila over the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) controversy, saying the Office of the Chief of Staff should be central to any investigation.
According to a Daily Post report published on Friday, July 3, 2026, Dalung made the remarks during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily. He described the Chief of Staff as the “number one suspect” and argued that suspending him would help prevent interference and strengthen public confidence in the probe.
“Adeniyi did not access the Villa except when somebody granted him a pass,” Dalung said, insisting that entry into the Presidential Villa requires official authorization.
He urged investigators to determine how the individual linked to the alleged controversy gained access to the Villa and whether any officials facilitated it. Dalung maintained that any investigation excluding the Office of the Chief of Staff would be incomplete, stressing that accountability should apply to all public officials and that the probe must be conducted transparently and without political interference.
