A survivor of the recent bandit attack on Naridom community in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State has recounted how armed men invaded his home, killing five of his children and leaving another with a gunshot wound to the head.

Speaking during an interview on News Central TV on Saturday, August 1, 2026, the victim said the attackers stormed the community at night, firing indiscriminately before breaking into homes, leaving residents with little chance to flee.

“The Fulani men came and started firing gunshots. They came into my house through the window. They were speaking their language,” he said.

According to the grieving father, the attackers surrounded the area before forcing their way into his home and opening fire on members of his family. He said five of his children were killed, while another sustained a gunshot wound to the head and is receiving treatment.

Describing the incident as the darkest moment of his life, the victim said the attack continues to haunt him as investigations and security efforts continue in the affected community.
