Nigerian actress Miriam Ogbonna has stirred reactions online after sharing her opinion on what it takes to make a relationship work.
In a post on X, the actress argued that people who are “too smart” often struggle to have successful relationships, claiming that relationships require “a level of “mumuness” (gullibility) to thrive.
She later clarified that by “mumuness,” she meant learning to let certain things slide instead of reacting to everything.
According to her, “You can’t be wise and still be in a successful relationship. It’s not possible.”
Her comments sparked mixed reactions, with some agreeing that overlooking certain issues helps maintain peace in relationships, while others disagreed with her perspective.
