Security and intelligence expert Dr. Yahuza Getso has alleged that a traditional ruler in Zamfara State was detained after intervening during an operation targeting suspected arms suppliers to bandits.
According to the interview, Getso told Trust TV that members of the Community Protection Guards (CPG) acted on intelligence indicating that weapons were being transported to bandits and set up an ambush to intercept the vehicles.

Getso claimed that when the vehicles were stopped for inspection, the drivers contacted the traditional ruler, who allegedly arrived at the scene with more than 150 armed bandits carrying AK-47 rifles.
He alleged that the traditional ruler warned the CPG operatives to allow the vehicles to proceed or risk being killed.
According to the interview, Getso said the guards eventually allowed the vehicles to continue because of the threat, while the traditional ruler was later detained over the incident. His account was presented as a description of events during the Trust TV interview and has not been independently verified in the material provided.
